Having earned her medical degree from McGill University Faculty of Medicine in Canada, Dr. Nguyen pursued her neurology residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Subsequently, she undertook fellowships in vascular neurology, neurocritical care, and interventional neuroradiology, amassing a wealth of experience, including over 3,000 interventional neuroradiology procedures, with a focus on brain aneurysm interventions and acute stroke therapies. Her prolific research contributions are evident in over 370 publications, national guidelines, and book chapters.
Dr. Nguyen has been honored with awards including being named Boston Magazine’s Top Doctor in Neurology. Her contributions to Boston Medical Center and the field of interventional neurology have been further celebrated with the Be Exceptional Award and the SVIN Distinguished Service Award. In January 2024, Dr. Nguyen was elected President of the Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology.
